About the School Board

Richmond Community Schools has an elected Seven-Member Board known as the Richmond Community Schools Board of School Trustees, or simply, the School Board.

The school board has set out the following vision for Richmond Community Schools:

Board Vision

"By 2020, Richmond Community Schools will be the highest performing school system in East Central Indiana."

The Board of School Trustees of Richmond Community Schools meets the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month at 6:30 p.m. (unless otherwise noted) at the Administrative Building, 300 Hub Etchison Parkway, Richmond.  You are invited to attend these meetings.

Board practices have been defined as follows:

  • "Our employees will be recognized, evaluated, and rewarded for their contributions to the success of all our students
  • Available resources will be deliberately allocated to support high performance goals.
  • Accountability will be demonstrated through continuous improvement with data driven measurables."
