To sync with Google Calendar

  1. Copy (CTRL + c) the iCal URL that appears beneath the calendar to which you want to subscribe.*
  2. Log in to Google Calendar (or create a Google Calendar account here).
  3. In the left column, in the 'Other Calendars' section, click Add > Add by URL.

*Please note: If you are using the RCS calendar that allows you to filter your events by school/category (www.werrichmond.com/my-calendar), Google Calendar currently has a problem importing a calendar that uses more than 6 filters.  If you require more than 6 filters and use both Outlook and Google Calendar, we recommend syncing the RCS iCal feed with Outlook first, then using Google Sync to sync with your Google Calendar.

To sync with your mobile device

We recommend using Google Calendar to sync with your mobile devices so you always have an online backup in case something happens to your phone.  To set up your Google Calendar, simply follow the To sync with Google Calendar instructions above.

  • Android Devices
    • Most Android devices come with Google Calendar pre-installed.  It's likely that if you have a Google account, your customer service rep helped you set up the Google account on your phone when you purchased the device, and you're already set up!  If not, on your phone, go to 'My Accounts', click 'Add account', select Google, and follow the instructions to create that account.  If the Google Calendar app is already installed on your phone, it will automatically sync.  If you don't have the Google Calendar app, you'll want to ask a representative from your wireless carrier how you can access Google Calendar with your phone.
